The Lollipop Lady

The Lollipop Lady is a lady who helps people, and Brum, cross the road safely. She was played by Shirley Anne Böhm. Generally, every episode of the second series would feature one point where Brum meets the Lollipop Lady at the crossing where she would help Brum cross the road. However, in some episodes, she plays a bigger role.

One Sweetheart's Day, the Lollipop plans to give her box of chocolates to Mickey Mender, but constantly misses him while trying to do so. She sits down out of hopelessness, mistakenly sits on a window cleaner's cradle and gets lifted up the building. Brum flies to the rescue hanging on ropes from a helicopter. After the Lollipop Lady grabs onto Brum, they are both lowered to the ground where the Lollipop Lady and Mickey are finally able to exchange chocolates.

On the day of the big town race, she joins the others in chasing Big Town Robber for the trophy he had stolen. They find him hiding up a lamppost, so she uses her sign to knock the trophy into Brum's seat.
